Q:  Will you be listing my house on the MLS or actually buying it?


A: Great question! We’re not real estate agents and don’t list homes. At One Home Buyers, we are professional home buyers who purchase houses in that meet our criteria. Because we don’t rely on bank financing, you can be confident that we’re able to close the deal. After buying, we may renovate the property and either sell it to another homeowner or keep it as a rental.

Q:  How are you different from a real estate agent?


A: Real estate agents list properties and wait for buyers. They show your home to potential buyers, if there are any. The average selling time in many markets right now is 4 to 6 months. When they do find a buyer, the agent takes a commission, usually between 3% and 6% of the sale price. For example, on a $100,000 home, that means paying $3,000 to $6,000 in agent fees.

Agents offer a valuable service for those who can wait 4+ months to sell and don’t mind paying commissions from their sale price. But that’s where we’re different. We’re not agents; we’re home buyers. Our company purchases your house directly from you. Because we pay all cash and buy the house outright, we can often decide to buy within a few days, sometimes even the same day.
